You can also plug in external inputs too so i have a turntable also connected to it. I'm just getting to grips with the effects thru the controller, but slowly does it and it's all going good. I've been using it for my shows over the past month and it's been great. The mic input seems a little quiet and EQ rotary knob isn't very good, although i could probably get level up by increasing the master level, and lowering the deck levels. Guess what, it works out of the box with TSPro, and 4 decks too by using the shift button to control deck C & D. I have since purchased the Reloop Disc Jockey 2 Master Edition as this model has a mic input.

I recently bought an Allen&Heath ZED-10 FX Mixer (€265) for live sets, musicians and singers and I'll run the VCI-100 MK2 through that and have great EQ'ing with the mic.įinding the right midi-controller seems to be a nightmare these days. Mainly it's paying €900 for what is essentially a compromise (no dedicated Mic Channel with decent EQ'ing), or in the case of the VCI-300 which is cheaper Serato and only having 2 deck control. There's just something about the S4 and the Xone X or the VCI-300 I don't like. I could buy 2 decks for the same price but as I haven't touched turntables in over 15 years, I'm sticking with what I know now. I'll probably order the VCI-100 MK2 tomorrow as I want to get some hands on experience before I take it into a club next month. I could have all 4 decks playing although I either had to swap the decks around on the fly or control decks C&D via mouse and keyboard.Īs I said it was just a test to see if a combination of controller and Audio8 would work and it does. I don't have the mapping for 4 decks but I could control decks A and B as per normal using the CDJ's but I had the output routing going to the Audio8 for each deck.

In the setup wizard I selected that I was using a controller (Denon DN-S1200) and the summary came back and automatically added the Audio8. (not sure if this makes a difference) but I created an 'Aggregate' device for all 3 in administrator, then opened traktor.
#Vestax vci 100 mk2 tutorial pro
I plugged all 3 usb cables into my MACbook Pro (core duo) 13" via a USB hub. As for the Audio 8 bit I was dong a quick test yesterday. Djkoolman looks like you're in the same boat as me.įor your radio work maybe you just need a small 2ch mixer maybe a 2nd hand Vestax.
